Runner Up - Orange Flower Award 2021

This win is yet another reason for me to celebrate the sisterhood of all the women that keep inspiring me, keep pushing me forward, and keep cheering me on. I was overwhelmed with friends calling me/texting me to congratulate me, to share their joys with me.

The winning story, Lucky, is close to my heart for several reasons. One because it won the second place in an international flash fiction contest, and two, because it is a story that has been churned from a deep place, something that offered catharsis once I was done writing.
